Trinity Manor, Seniors Complex
Uxbridge, Ontario
Based upon a field visit with a planned construction contractor, water intrusion was deteriorating various elements of the building. It was determined to totally replace the existing glass block stair wells with fire rated construction which would be compatible with the adjacent heritage church building. The adjacent church congregation was originally responsible for construction of the complex. Glass block glazing was removed and adjacent walls sealed with foamed insulation to prevent moisture transfer. Steel stud walls with fire rated glass assemblies were installed. The interior walls were restored with standard drywall and trims, and the exterior with asphalt shingles and trims to match the adjacent church building.
