SHRI JI DAHM HINDU TEMPLE

MW HALL CORPORATION was commissioned to provide architectural services for adaptive reuse of an existing structure to ‘group occupancy’. Working with a multidisciplinary consultant team including GWD Planners, Spline Group mechanical and electrical engineers, MMM civil engineers, Brodie & Associates landscape architects, and Guru Sri Hari Sharma, MW HALL CORPORATION transformed the pre-existing building to accommodate the required increase in use, including interior renovations, exterior renovations and site plan revisions to accommodate increased vehicles, worshippers and visitors.
This area of Brampton, Ontario has a significant number of Hindu peoples, including new immigrants to Canada who live within walking distance of this site who depend upon having a convenient place of worship. In addition to meeting user needs within the temple, as a place of worship the building is required to meet the Ontario Building Code, plus Planning and Zoning bylaws in place for the City of Brampton. Construction work was provided in part by contracted construction companies as well as parishoners.
