Constructed in the Hollywood Hills overlooking the San Fernando Valley, the house was designed to reflect historic development patterns of housing in the downtown sections of the Hollywood Hills which orients living areas up the hillside from the street below. Maximization of views overlooking the valley below were emphasized while meeting seismic and fire hazard requirements encountered in this area. The project was published in a feature article in the Los Angeles Times.
