The Allen Brown house is a mid 19th century designated heritage building south of downtown Aurora, Ontario. Acquired by Fernbrook Homes, the grounds surrounding the house were developed with new single family homes. The heritage building is planned for relocation from its existing site to a new site to the east, adjacent to a planned community park.
McCulloch Movers removed the house from its existing foundations, and are in the process of relocating it to a new foundation. MW Hall Corporation - Caricari Lee, joint venture architects created the Conservation Plan for the property, which includes a new addition and complete restoration of the heritage building, including removal of the existing stucco and refurbishing the brick facades. Hunt Heritage Masonry is working as consultant for the masonry. Masterworks is working with MW Hall Corporation to implement the Conservation Plan.
