114 Vaughan road
toronto, ontario
This older four storey, 32 unit apartment building was renovated by MW HALL CORPORATION/Caricari Lee, joint venture architects to address essential restoration work required. Working closely with Richard C. Hamilton, P.Eng. manager of 114 Vaughan Apartment Management Inc., the architectural team developed plans and specifications for interior and exterior renovations to address various building code issues for this older building, as well as essential maintenance/restoration of exterior masonry, water damage, removal of older, non-essential, and site plan issues. Upon recommendation of the MW HALL CORPORATION, Everest Restoration was contracted by the management to implement the required repairs, some of which involved removal of earlier applied asbestos finishes in the exit corridors. While not a heritage building, this older structure is a key part of an older residential neighbourhood in central Toronto.
