DESCRIPTION
The Long Beach Naval Complex included three major Naval Facilities Commands located in the Los Angeles/Long Beach Port: the Naval Station Long Beach, the Naval Shipyard, and the Naval Supply Center. The Plan included analyses of existing facilities and their functional relationships as well as development of general development plans for future revitalization. Elements included new facility siting, historic preservation, urban design, transportation, industrial engineering and landscape guidelines. Mark Hall was principal-in-charge for development of the master plan and presentation to the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington D.C.
