DESCRIPTION
Containing 54 luxury suites, lounges, exercise spa, office, underground parking/storage and roof-top terraces overlooking Lake Couchiching and historic downtown Orillia, this is the largest structure to be constructed on either Lake Couchiching or the adjacent Lake Simcoe in the past 100 years. Being located in the Historic District downtown of Orillia, the building is reminiscent of the classic Victorian hotels constructed in the Muskoka lakes area. It was designed to bring a face of the downtown to the waterfront. MW HALL CORPORATION was responsible for planning and urban design and schematic architectural design. Mark Hall was president of the development company responsible for implementation. Turner Fleischer Architects Incorporated is architect of record.
