Spring Street Historic District, Los Angeles

PROJECT

Spring Street was the main financial centre of the City of Los Angeles prior to the Great Depression.   This assignment was to document the historic structures on Spring Street, first of all to bring attention to this important historic asset, and secondly to spur redevelopment of the District.

CLIENT

Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles

DESCRIPTION

As a street of multi-storey buildings, which had fallen into disuse and abandonment, the purpose of this assignment was to document this important heritage asset in order to spur redevelopment of this area in downtown Los Angeles.   The documents became an important element of a significant public relations campaign leading to complete revitalization of this area.
